Refreshment, Games, Fun

Image may contain: 2 people, people smiling, people standing, fire and food

In addition to the relaxing colours and the sophisticated decorations, the first thing that has caught our eye while observing these two houses, is previously mentioned fantastic view which can be enjoyed from the spacious terraces (one of which has an outdoor kitchen), and, thanks to the large glass walls, from the comfort of the living room as well.

These facilities are extremely comfortable and they can accommodate from 6 to 10 people. The first of the two houses features five bedrooms and three bathrooms.

While they are equipped with unavoidable amenities such as Wi-Fi and satellite TV, and the very attractive ones such as a fireplace / garden with a fireplace-various forms of entertainment are also in store for the guests of Paradise- Vela Luka holiday homes. There is an amusement salon where you can play table tennis, billiards and foosball and if you opt for a more active vacation, you can exercise at Orbitrac or play basketball at a nearby playground. The youngest guests can also enjoy the toboggan on the beach while the sea-lovers can enjoy kayaking or the super-popular SUP (stand up position) skateboard decks and jumps into the enchanting blue sky.

ABUNDANCE OF CONTENTS. Apart from the luxurious, eye-catching interior, our attention was drawn to the variety of carefully selected and designed contents that will make your stay unique and allow you to discover all the charms of the island. Great way to do this is to take one day excursions and reach destinations of up to 7km distance - discover the beautiful bays ideal for swimming, and visit the wine cellars where you will taste some of the finest wines which have put this island on the world wine maps!

In addition, you will taste a wine drop of homemade wine during Dalmatian dinners organized by your friendly hosts who will also offer freshly caught fish and their home - grown salad.

If you want to be sea wolves at least for one day, it is possible to rent a 5-meter boat ideal for exploring Vela Luka Bay. The boat will be waiting for you below your holiday house. If you do not wish to take your own boat trip, there are other appealing offers carefully designed by your hosts - a 15-person boat trip that will take you to the fascinating island of Proizd- famous for its pebble beach of Bili boci, which thanks to the white rocks plunging in the turquoise sea, increases jealousy on social networks! Enjoy sailing around the island with delicacies and wine at your disposal, and if you wish to go fishing, opt for night fishing – an adventure you should not miss!

Although we think that there are plenty visually appealing locations ideal for your relaxation, to make the experience complete, you can also hire a personal massage therapist.

“Stories, Croatian Unique Hotels” - new definition of luxury and authenticity!

Hotel Alhambra, Mali Lošinj

Authentic experience for the top of world demand in elite tourism

HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED how a travel itinerary of a modern globetrotter with  high purchasing power looks like?

Hotel Meneghetti, Istra

While marble bathrooms and golden pipes used to be highly appreciated, time have significantly changed. Namely, modern guests know that this type of luxury can be found even in their home place, and what, in their opinion is worth of gold is all about – authenticity!

Villa Dubrovnik, Dubrovnik

Indeed, whether it's a traditional sweet made in a specific way in a specific place, display of original customs or preserved piece of history or culture, traveller of this age (and with a lot of money) will look for something he/she cannot find anywhere else!

REDEFINITION OF LUXURY. That unique experience is highly appreciated is very clear to head people of a Group of Unique Luxury Hotels under a common name “Stories, Croatian Unique Hotels”.

Hotel Heritage Martinis Marchi, Šolta

Among 17 domestic luxury facilities located along the Adriatic coast which are a part of this group, there are all true stars - Kazbek, The Pucić Palace and Villa Dubrovnik in Dubrovnik, The Hotel Adriana in Hvar, hotels Adriatic, Meneghetti, San Rocco and Valamar Isabella in Istria, Lešić Dimitri palace in Korčula, Hotel Alhambra in Mali Lošinj, hotels Bevanda and Navis in Opatija, Hotel Vestibul Palace in Splitu, Hotel Life Palace and D-Resort in Šibenik, palace Martinis Marchi on Šolta and Hotel Bastion in Zadar.

Hotel Adriatic, Istra

Nenad Nizić, president of Group of Unique Luxury Hotels

According to the president of Group of Unique Luxury Hotels with Croatian Chamber of Commerce, Nenad Nizić, positioning our homeland as exclusive destination is exactly one of the goals of common appearance of these facilities, whose two restaurants have been included in Micheline guide! Apart from luxury service, what these facilities also have in common is the awareness of the staff that authentic experience has come to the very top od world demand when it comes to elite tourism.

Hotel Bastion, Zadar

Hotel Alhambra, Mali Lošinj

LOCATION IS IMPORTANT. If it is to judge by the most recent tourist trends, guests with high purchasing power rather stay in facilities hidden in old town cores or among olive groves of former noblemen properties, of which – as the name of the brand – Stories – suggests – each offers some of its specific stories.

Slogan “You are the writer” that accompanies this project, encourages modern customers to share their experience with others, which is one of the best and most efficient recommendations in era of social networks. Namely, hotel tucked in a city palace, or on the rock above the sea, apart from being a great shelter from chaotic everyday life, is an excellent topic (and real, as modern Internet terminology suggests – envy challenger) for attractive Facebook or Instagram post!

Villa Meneghetti, Istra

Eva LaRue, Nenad Nizić

Eva LaRue, became an ambassador of new Croatian brand Group of  Unique Luxury Hotels  - Stories

Famous actress in CSI Miami, Eva LaRue, in March became an ambassador of new Croatian brand Group of  Unique Luxury Hotels  - Stories, Croatian Unique Hotels. This luxury lover, in two-week visit to Croatia, stayed in unique Stories hotels on our coast, and wrote about her experience on her blog and Instagram profile.

Hotel Vestibul, Split

CELEBRATION OF HISTORY AND CULTURE. Gershon Guyit, Nigerian ambassador in Hungary, briefly described a star among these luxury hotels – Hotel Vestibul. According to him, this edifice, awarded with many excellency certificates and acknowledgments of even strict Tripadvisor, is a real celebration of history, art and culture! Hotel got other numerous prestigious awards so renowned world travel magazine “Conde Nast Traveller“, enlisted it among 25 best world hotels.

Intrigued by attractive hotel story we looked at Vestibul interior as well, and the thrill was instant – elegant minimalist design, classy rooms in earthy colours; high quality kitchen inspired by modern trends and luxurious wine card, will satisfy even the most demanding guests.

But still, dazzling high prices on international travel sites are a result of one of its strongest advantages – unique location at the very heart of Split old town core is different from anything guests have seen and experienced so far.

Resort Valamar Isabella, Istra

Therefore, if we have been in search for X factor to add to our domestic tourism an extra dose of attractiveness – our search has just finished!

Hello World! Joy runs through Agentinean’s blood!

We visited Buenos Aires, heart of Argentina!

Write: Maja Zlokić

There is no better way of getting familiar with a country than hanging out with locals. This absolutely works in Buenos Aires, because of its charm and European architecture often called the South American Paris, where socializing is a number one priority and where everyone knows how to dance.

It is a home of one of the most passionate people we know. It gave us tango, Maradona, Messi, and  one of the kindest popes ever! Of course, it is Argentina we’re talking about – a place where to withhold a kiss for ‘’hello’’ and ‘’goodbye’’ is considered rude. It’s as if the sun is a bit warmer there, a smile truly contagious, joy as inwrought by birth! Every true party lover wants to visit Argentina and Buenos Aires, and if you’re planning to do so, we bring you top 8 ‘not to miss’ attractions!

Image may contain: 1 person

1. Take a photo at Plaza de Mayo. At Plaza de Mayo stands the Casa Rosada, named for its distinctive pink color. With its pink façade and palace-like design, the governmental house has served as the backdrop to countless numbers of protests, famous speeches and significant moments in Argentina’s history. Today the building houses the Argentina President's offices, where free hour-long guided tours are given at weekends and must be booked online in advance.

2) Dance Tango in La Boca (but not by night in any case)!
Old port district famous for colourful houses and sandy street Caminito, has pronounced European twist, therefore it is no surprising that its first residents were Italians from Genova!

No automatic alt text available.

You will be delighted by its shabby slum houses painted in variety of colours, an abundance of merchants and performers; but it is safe only during the day.

This district vibrates in tango rhythms and locals’ laughter – if you want to find the best street dancers and the best entertainment in the middle of the day, don’t look any further!

You can do this is some of the best restaurants in the city: visit magical Ralph’s that will surprise you with its impressive interior, but also with dishes like Tiradito, Ceviche, Osobuco Ravioli, or  Don Julio restaurant that has the best barbecue dishes -especially tasty is national dish Parilla!

5. Do not miss night life in Buenos Aires
After rich meal, somewhere around midnight, people go to bars. Palermo Soho and Hollywood are the centre of city's night life with hundreds of clubs and bars and music for everyone. Whether you are in love with samba, jazz, dance… and the list is long – this is a nation whose priority is –socializing! Visit Fioreia, Nicky house, Frank's, Pony Land, Isabel..

8. Buenos Aires - city of culture and one of the most important cities in South America. Museums, galleries, theaters, libraries, and all other world famous institutions are situated in Buenos Aires.

Stadium in La Boca

  1. Argentina, which means land made of silver, is the second biggest country in South America and eighth largest in the world.
  2. This country has been facing high inflation for decades. In one period, annual inflation was as high as 5 000 %.
  3. Since 2001 Argentina has had 5 presidents.
  4. Spanish people came here in 1516, while Argentina became independent 300 years later. Small indigenous nations have died out, and today's Argentina residents are mainly of European descent.
  5. Spanish language is different from those you learnt in school. Here it is mixed with Italian. They use a special form of conjugation. Also, they use abbreviations a lot. For example, ''Tello'' is short for hotel.  No automatic alt text available.
  6. Country of high-quality wines
Argentina was the biggest wine producer outside European continent up until nineties. Today it is the biggest and the most important wine producer in South America, and the 5th greatest in the world. Wine production mainly takes place in Mendoza.
  1. Argentinian friend – a friend for life
We've already mentioned that Argentinians life for fun, they gladly hang out and are true friends. Very often friendships with Argentinians last for life. The entire week is reserved for hanging out with friends. Sundays they spend with their families.
  1. The rise of ''love hotels''
Just when you think that you've found a decent accommodation for a decent price, double check if it's a love hotel, legally rented by the hour. What can happen is (like it did to us): you've just fell asleep, and you're already awaken by a sound of a telephone…you answer the phone and not very kind receptionist tells you that you must leave the hotel in 10 min. In Argentina, as in our country, many people still live with their parents in their 30s, so these love hotels are entirely normal.

Hello World! Rio de Janeiro - La Cidade Maravilhosa!

Travelling the world
Rio de Janeiro - Indeed a wonderful city!

Piše: Maja Zlokić

To think of Rio de Janeiro means to think of the spectacular carnival, amazing natural environment, samba rhythms, sunshine, warm welcome, vibrant colors and the right atmosphere for a holiday!

To experience carnival madness, swimming and sunbathing on the beautiful several kilometers long beaches, to feel gold Ipanema and Copacabana sand under your feet, liveliness of city streets, the sounds of salsa and samba... these are just fragments of the Rio magic.

The city is lively by day and by night - concerts, performances and beach parties are organized on a daily basis, and the weather is almost always warm and sunny.

A multitude of young people and those who feel that way, of different cultures and nations, flock to Rio every year, and if you are intrigued by our story and plan to join travellers from around the world, we bring you the list of our top 10 attractions!

  1. THE CARNIVAL, NATURALLY. The main attraction of the Carnival in Rio is a spectacular show where 14 specialized samba schools go through Sambadrome – a 700 meters long carnival runway - and compete for the best group! The parade usually starts around 20:00 and lasts until the early morning hours, and attracts around 100,000 people from all over the world who enjoy the best samba rhythms and beautiful colorful costumes. Tickets range from approximately $ 50.
  2. GOLDEN SAND BEACHES. Visit Ipanema, the most beautiful beach in the world! Enjoy a variety of entertainment and sports facilities, various specialties, refreshing drinks and cocktails from 0-24h! The beaches are clean and very well maintained.
  3. RAZGLEDAJTE SIMBOL RIJA. Zadivljujući kip Krista Otkupitelja - Cristo Redentor, koji s brda Corcovado bdije nad gradom, upravo je zbog svoje ljepote, dimenzija i dominantnog položaja nad jednim od najljepših zaljeva na svijetu, najprepoznatljiviji simbol Rio de Janeira i Brazila.
  4. SUGARLOAF MOUNTAIN. Rio certainly would not have been so fascinating without Sugarloaf Mountain! Its top is reached by a large cable car - a gondola known from the movie "Moonraker". First stop is the Urca Mountain with beautiful gardens and a wonderful view of the bay of Botafogo, and second, Sugar Loaf Hill, offers a magnificent view of Copacabana Beach on one side and the Guanabara Bay on the other.
  5. RIO VS. FOOTBALL. Brazilian love for football is amazing – you get the impression that everyone is a footballer around here! If you're a football fan, opt for a trip to Maracana, the cradle of the world football!
  6. WORLD'S MOST FAMOUS STEPS. Do not miss photographing on the "Escadaria Selaron", the most famous steps in the world, located in Lapi. Stairs are the work of Chilean artist Jorge Selaron and perfectly reflect the spirit of Brazil and its inhabitants!

Kopački rit – pristine beauty in winter splendor!

One of the best-preserved wetlands in Europe, Kopački rit, is situated in Baranja, in the triangle created by two great rivers, Danube and Drava. Located on the peripheral parts of municipality of Bilje, it is a true backbone of the tourism of the region, of its origin and development, which in addition to natural treasure, offers exceptional gastronomic and enological pleasures. The fact that family farms near Kopački rit achieved 6354 arrivals and 13,703 overnight stays of both domestic and foreign tourists, is very indicative of the success of this area: municipality of Bilje emerged as the top destination to enjoy your vacation, nature, cycling and gastronomic delicacies of the continental parts of the country.

The symbol of the Park - white-tailed eagle - resides in the Rit during the whole year and can be seen sitting on high, dry branches in search of prey. At the ponds one can see flocks of beautiful coots, and on the branches and roots along the channels a vividly coloured bird – kingfisher – can be noticed.

When it snows and the frost covers willow tree branches and other vegetation, Kopački rit becomes a true fairytale scenery worth experiencing, not to mention relaxing walks over wooden bridges.

Destination worth visiting – take a boat ride or cycle through Sisak and it s surroundings

Did you know?

During the 18th and 19th century Sisak was the largest Croatian inland harbor, and river Kupa hosted up to  thousand ships.

The first river steamboat in Croatian history was Sloga from Sisak.

The first Roman emperor Augustus, who conquered Segesta, issued a proclamation to conduct the population census, due to which Mary and Joseph went from Nazareth to Bethlehem.

The oldest football club in Croatia was established in 1906 in Sisak by the name of Segesta.

At the estuary of Kupa into Sava, proudly stands the witness of the most important Croatian victory over Turkish invaders in 16th century - Old Town fortress.

The first railway line in Croatia was built between Zidani Most and Sisak via Zagreb.

Journey through Sisak-Moslavina County

DSC_0038 (Medium) (2)

We have visited the city of Sisak, a historic city on three rivers and its marvelous surroundings. City is bordered by the dense forest at the edge of which you are calmly greeted by the magnificent Old Town. It gives you a warm welcome and reveals a wealth of historical heritage, in the irresistible whirl of miraculous nature.

DSC_0351 (Medium)

City of Sisak owes its unique position to three rivers: Kupa, Sava and Odra. Kupa is the ultimate symbol of Sisak and also a stage for numerous events throughout the year. There are few cities in Croatia whose inhabitants can pride themselves with the fact that river flows through the city center where you can swim, paddle, dive, or take a ride on a boat or ship. You can find out more about the secrets of Kupa river in this article.

But let's start from the beginning. We started the journey with the visit to village Krapje in the heart of Lonjsko polje nature park.

We are thankful to professional guides from the nature park who gave us a lecture about this unique area.

Prijemni centar Krapje

Birds, flowers, sandbanks and traditional wooden houses form one of the most picturesque landscapes in Croatia, it feels as if we wandered into one of the fairytales from Ivana Brlić Mažuranić or H. C. Andersen.

image-0-02-01-4d66032e894479a980c69095479673088fb302fecdf6c8eabcc2fa037b67e3ab-V

Lovely village of Krapje is rich with valuable traditional architecture of national significance and the only village in Croatia with the status of architectural heritage site. Since 1995, it has become a tradition to celebrate the day of European heritage.

20160902_100607 (Medium)

One of the things especially interesting to us was the traditional house construction from natural materials (oak), perfectly integrated into natural surroundings. Diligence, craftsmanship and modesty that draw its roots from poverty of older generations, preserves the heritage of this region in a special way.

Lonja Field – take a boat ride through the natural paradise

image-0-02-01-9c88307e3368d29c41593a05d1eca9baeb40f87192e90bd6ef3b85a30c9dd542-V (Medium)

After a tour around the village and around the soft sandbank of river Sava, we were taken for a ride with solar boat along the nature park Lonjsko polje.

image-0-02-01-76f6916a9117e9867e4f26b6ec67195120fb2f7dae87d9918583af2245aa794d-V (Medium)

The topography of this area was shaped by the river Sava throughout number of years. It has shaped the coastline, creating an unique landscapes which are enjoyed today by the visitors and residents of this area. If you want to know more about the old way of life in this area, visit the specially designed theme pathway that connects the northern part of Lonjsko Polje with Moslavina wine-growing hills and Sava River.

20160902_113222 (Medium)

So we found out that Nature park Lonjsko polje contains one of the largest complexes of naturally preserved flooded lowland forests in Europe and beyond. Animals, plants and people have been living here for centuries in a happy symbiosis. And everything gives you a feeling of tranquility and peace. It almost seemed incredible that we left a bustling metropolis barely an hour ago.

image-0-02-01-a03f8eda2c787af1e5bb872d3b58d1259ac4aa80a11a37ef37a10be165a7a0d6-V

One of the characteristic trees in this ecosystem is famous "Slavonian oak", well known in Europe for its quality. Of many plant, fish and animal species, we must mention storks, the greatest attraction you will be able to see up close, if you visit the village of Čigoč.

Čigoč selo roda
This pearl of Croatian heritage is located on the right bank of Sava river, along the river branch called Silence (Tišina). Due to the large number of nests on wooden roofs of Posavina houses, Čigoč village was proclaimed the first European village of storks in 1984. And storks love best to nest exactly in Čigoč, given the fact that here they nest 3,8 chicks per pair on average!

20160902_093507 (Medium)
Since the weather served us well, we could see the fairy-tale ambience and enjoy the utter silence disturbed only by the sounds of birds. Trees and wooden houses, flowers and river nearby, have formed the peculiar composition of colors, sounds and smells.

image-0-02-01-6fd9af980779aa28fc7853696d0452af8cb319861b6379b2c75c6dddbe948702-V

The river lured us to swim. Sandbanks called us to stretch our towels on them. But we had a lot more places to visit.

Ethno village Old Lonja - one of the most beautiful destinations of our journey

After Krapja, we arrived at the ethno village Old Lonja. There we were blinded by hundred shades of green, something that can't be seen on streets of Zagreb. We were thrilled by the harmony, peace and quietness of this rural household, a place that has everything you need for the ideal vacation in nature.

20160902_123420 (Medium)
Friendly hosts have greeted us, offered us wine and world-class liquors, roasted fish and local meat, which catapulted us into orbit of gastronomic enjoyment.

DSC_0194 (Medium) (2)

And tempted us to stay there a day or two or longer. (or until they send us away).

DSC_0199 (Medium)

If you are looking for a rural household with affordable prices but incredible natural beauty, charm, natural harmony and fine food, be sure to visit this farm. It is just an hour away from Zagreb, and hosts can organize tours on demand and provide you with accommodation.

DSC_0179

We moved on towards the ethnographic collection of Sučić family. Invigorated by local food and very happy, we marked the Old Lonja in our excursion schedule as a must see destination for the future.

lonja-domacinstvo

Ethnographic collection of Sučić family

We visited the ethnographic collection of Sučić family which originated from preserving and collecting traditional objects and today has about 700 different items related to life and economy of this part of Posavina. We sow a real small ethnic treasure; from woodworking tools, farming tools, tools for fishing, transport vehicles, to various practical items related to daily life in the household. Folk costumes, towels, souvenirs, everything is created from natural materials collected or made by the family for years, and their impressive collection has been added to the list of Croatian cultural heritage.

Traditions Čigoć

Tradicije Čigoćfoto: Tradicije Čigoć

We have also visited the famous Traditions Čigoć, another tourist attraction in this area. It is a well known for its traditional dishes from Posavina, of which we recommend their deer goulash, fish paprikash and "Posavina pot". With each dish they include special delicacy "Čigočica" (flatbread from the bread oven filled with homemade cheese and cream).

It is customary to hear some stories about tradition of river fishing from the hosts while tasting the carp and perch fishes prepared by their own recipe. Uniqueness of this place has been discovered by the campers, and we have unanimously agreed that they could not find a better place for absolute rest.

Sisak city - unusual and unconventional urban area that is easy to love

We came at the start of the three-day event, well known as Kupa nights, of which you can read in more detail on this link. We were taken on a guided tour (organized by the Sisak Tourist Board) through the city. The city is full of greenery, on each step you can see magnificent trees, parks and flower beds.

Sisak centar

Kupa nights have certainly taken our full attention. The city was all about the boats, aero show spectacle and other interesting programmes.

Damir Pahić

Aero show best captures the spectacle that are this year's Kupa nights (photo Damir Pahić)

Aero show Damir Pahić foto

And a little more aerial acrobatics (photo Damir Pahić). The one who says there is no life in Sisak, has obviously never visited it. And he definitely should.

DSC_0390 (Medium)

Out of other landmarks, whose description would require a whole new text, we will only mention the "Re-think" murals, Old Bridge - Military Sisak, Mali Kaptol, City Hall, Sculpture Park, Veliki Kaptol, Old Bridge, the Basilica of St. Quirinus, Sisak historic ring...

Sisak šetnica

We have also visited the wonderful Old Town where we were transported in a relaxed and happy atmosphere of a Neretva river boat from the Boatmen Association of Sisak (Udruga lađara Sisak). By a pure chance we also witnessed the Sisak wedding scene that conjured up the spirit of this city - a city that seems to be pretty easy to love.

DSC_0359 (Medium)

DSC_0360 (Medium)

We ended our trip with cycling through Sisak, which is literally covered with cobwebs of bicycle paths through which we were guided. Sisak and surroundings are mecca for cyclists and active holidays, and we experienced that personally while driving through the entire city. It is difficult to single out whether it is better to ride in Neretva river boat or to cycle through Sisak, so we recommend you to try both.

DSC_0392
We left full of impressions of the city that is in reach from Zagreb with just an hour drive. With its necklace of countryside households, with its unique nature park and the enchanting beauty of natural and architectural heritage, we are determined to pay another visit. And to make it as soon as possible. Because this destination definitely has a lot to show, throughout the seasons.

Equestrian tourism – an exquisite tourist attraction of Bjelovar-Bilogora county

By developing new forms of tourism in Croatian inland, some destinations have improved their offer and took it a step further from classic sightseeing tourism.

Development of agro-tourism with rich choice of domestic food and wine is complemented with new forms of tourist products and offerings. For example, there are ten active equestrian associations in Bjelovar-Bilogora county and around the same number of "horse welcome" agritourism estates.

12079194_10204200749613111_2055050638001920845_n

Bjelovar-Bilogora county is also a host for national and international competitions in endurance riding. Starting this year, in collaboration with the international equestrian association ENGEA, first 8 certified guides for tourist horse riding have been registered in this area.

11146657_10203746342493217_4998290561710707800_n

It is also an interesting fact that Bjelovar-Bilogora county area contains 198 kilometers of marked equestrian trails, which connect it with neighbouring Virovitica-Podravina and Koprivnica-Križevci counties. Equestrian tourism became a part of standard tourist offer in this area, as a result of synergy between the work of Tourist Board of Bjelovar-Bilogora county, enterpreneurs in private sector and professional associations. There has been a significant increase in tourist traffic throughout 2015, which is further improved with new complex tourist products including active vacation with emphasis on equestrian tourism.

Within this initiative, Bjelovar-Bilogora county will host the Balkans championship in long distance riding in September 2016, in cooperation with the Croatian Equestrian Federation.

International equestrian tourism convention was held in May.

IMG_20160430_171542

Bjelovar-Bilogora county has recently hosted an international convention of equestrian tourism, which took place between 13 and 15 May 2016 at several locations throughout the county. In the meeting of professionals several discussions were held - about rural development through system of equestrian trails in Italy and Croatia, safety on riding trails and the development of inland tourism through the prism of equestrian activities. In addition, an international team of experts carried out the inspection and certification of equestrian trails in county, which included these trails in international listings of equestrian tourist offer.

This three-day event is important for all agritourism estates - family farms on Bilogora route, which have been intensely developing their attractive offerings for guests from Croatia and all over Europe. This is the way they can further promote their thematic tourist products - from enogastronomy to cultural and active tourism.

Hotspots recommendation:

On the magical slopes of Bilogora hills near Bjelovar, there is an excursion site and a wine shop Vinia situated on Šapić family farm.

It is located four kilometers from Bjelovar city in the direction of Đurđevac. The precise location of this family farm is a small suburban place named Puričani.

Visitors can enjoy the ambiance of a fairy tale. They can also expect a number of different creative programs for standard holiday or active holiday, all held in the idyllic rural atmosphere. Programs include the offer of traditional dishes from this region, tasting of local wines from Bilogora hills, wine cellar tours and terrain horseback riding.

10177344_10201471622546640_7141670298783096200_nTerrain riding on family farm Šapić – excursion site Vinia

If you have horse riding license, if spending time in nature fills you with peace and harmony, if horses have been your love ever since childhood, we highly recommend this idyllic estate. Horseback riding can be done with or without the presence of the coach, but for the official tourist routes of Bilogora you will be escorted by a guide. For groups of riders and multi-day tours on the family estate Šapići, you will be provided with all the necessary infrastructure (accommodation in double bedded rooms, restaurant, parking for campers, catering on the field).

There is also a riding school for children and beginners with expert guidance provided.

Its name originates from the word tabor which denotes a war camp. It was built for defense from the Turks. Veliki Tabor is one of the best preserved medieval and Renaissance fortified towns of continental Croatia. The castle was built in the second half of the 15th century. It was built by the noble family Rattkay during the 16th century and remained in their possession until 1793. It had many famous masters: the Counts of Celje (who owned it at the earliest), Matija and Ivaniš Korvin, the Rattkay family, and the family of famous Croatian artist Oton Iveković.
