Cetina region has a lot of them, and therefore this area is a bate for tourist who like to jump backwards to history. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-pin-description=\"Image result for salona\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.welcome-to-croatia.com\/uploads\/2017\/02\/Salona.jpg\" alt=\"Image result for salona\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-pin-description=\"IMG_6676_1\" src=\"http:\/\/hotspots.net.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_6676_1.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_6676_1\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p> Why go to Rome, when Roman roads can be seen here as well? Their centre was in Salona, old Roman town near Split. Salona is not by chance called antique jewel, its historical structure and infrastructure displays all the wisdom of its builders, impressive for even today\u2019s visitors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-pin-description=\"Image result for tilurij\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-5R-qUWQBm-k\/WZp4_U9cgpI\/AAAAAAAAK2E\/PA2MGU0xJtgKGw1ttgRtYF4QH50Z93gEACLcBGAs\/s1600\/DSC_0494.JPG?ssl=1\" alt=\"Image result for tilurij\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p> Where will Roman roads take you? In various directions, through protected landscapes of the Cetina canyon, Prolo\u0161ko lake, Red and Blue Lake in Imotski, Vranja\u010da Cave, along the remains of old-Christian necropolis, roman military camps, sacral buildings, historical forts and numerous fortifications. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-pin-description=\"Image result for tilurij\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tportal.hr\/media\/thumbnail\/w1000\/86622.jpeg\" alt=\"Image result for tilurij\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In attempt to save old roads from oblivion,  project called Roman Roads of Central Dalmatia had started in 2012.  While developing the project, its initiators have made a big progress regarding preservation and evaluation of Dalmatian road history. For example, in the centre of tourist attention they managed to place Tilurij, remains of old Roman military camp near Trilj, to which leads a network of Roman roads. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Inside this historical edifice Roman bedrooms will be reconstructed as an interesting tourist product. It is the first project of this kind in Croatia, who falls into category of experimental archaeology. Furthermore, it presents a new platform in tourist offer of Split\u2019s hinterland. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-pin-description=\"Image result for tilurij\" src=\"https:\/\/crovista.com\/images\/sampledata\/znamen\/utvrdanutjak.jpg\" alt=\"Image result for tilurij\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Roads are not merely roads, they are the paths leading to important sites. When watched from tourist level, old Roman roads are also links to natural beauties, archaeological sites, many excursion points and belvederes. In addition, they lead to localities where one can take part in numerous activities like mountaineering, hiking, horse-riding, cycling, kayaking, rafting\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But we mustn\u2019t forget this region\u2019s specialty \u2013 rich gastronomic offer, i.e. homemade traditional specialties that can be tasted along old roman roads. In order to explore treasures of this region, set out on a journey, step by step.
