The history of the oldest Hvar hotel and Empress Sisi were the\ninspiration, motive and inspiration behind the hotel’s grand opening. The hotel\nhas been rebuilt and redesigned with a new face and raised the quality scale\nthat guests expect when on Hvar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The opening ceremony of the newly renovated Palace Elisabeth\nHotel was held on Hvar on Saturday, September the 21st, 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first 5 star hotel\non Hvar<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As one of the most beautiful buildings in this area, in\naddition to the city Loggia, the Palace Elisabeth Hotel is considered one of\nthe symbols of the city of Hvar. It consists of 45 luxury rooms and suites of a\nlarger size, an indoor pool, a luxury spa and two outdoor terraces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hotel exudes elegance and promotes all the best of the\ncity, it has always been a favourite meeting place of Hvar locals and guests.\nTherefore, a visit to the city of Hvar is not complete unless you have a cup of\ncoffee on the terrace of the Palace Elisabeth Hotel, because there are few\nplaces where you can enjoy such a beautiful view of Hvar’s historic centre, the\nmarket, the waterfront, the Arsenal, the Pakleni islands and the city\u2019s port.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hotel was opened with the attention of the social elite and the world\u2019s media<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The opening ceremony was dealt with by Marie Vitek, the wife of\nRadovan Vitek, the owner of Sun\u010dani Hvar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speeches were delivered by Gordana Tomi\u010di\u0107, CEO of Sun\u010dani Hvar, Tourism Minister Gari Cappelli and Martin Neme\u010dek, CEO of the CPI Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The opening of the Palace Elisabeth Hotel further elevates the existing offer [of Hvar] to a higher level and at the same time contributes to the attractiveness of a destination that offers high quality holidays in all segments,” said Management Board President Gordana Tomi\u010di\u0107.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PThe history of the Palace Elisabeth Hotel dates back to the 13th century. In 1898, the hotel was rebuilt and named Spa Hotel Empress Elisabeth, after the Austrian Empress Sisi who was a generous sponsor of its construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to an investment from the Sun\u010dani Hvar tourist group, of HRK 100 million, Palace Elisabeth has become the first five-star hotel on the island, and a member of the elite hotel association of luxury hotels, \u2018\u2019The Leading Hotels of the World\u2019\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To be more specific, there was an investment of \u20ac300,000 per room, which is one of the largest investments in the Croatian hotel industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Of all the facilities we have, the Palace Elisabeth Hotel is special. This was not an easy project to realise as it had to be handled with special care given its cultural heritage. We plan to invest in other Sun\u010dani Hvar facilities,\u2019\u2019 said Martin Neme\u010dek, the CEO of the CPI Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to local journalists, many international journalists attended the opening ceremony. There were reporters from the New York Times, Robb Report, Vogue, National Geographic, Conde Nast Traveler and Architectural Digest, who enthusiastically followed the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along with a number of distinguished guests, the opening ceremony was attended by Minister of Tourism, Gari Cappelli, State Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism, Ton\u010di Glavina, Director of the Tourist Board of Split-Dalmatia County, Jo\u0161ko Stella, and the Mayor of the City of Hvar, Rikardo Novak.
