The Dalmatian peka. It\u2019s worth starting this list off with a real specialty &#8211; the softest and the most delicious meat \u2018\u2019under the bell\u2019\u2019, paired with domestic potatoes and herbs! Pa\u0161ticada comes a close second to the peka, the unadorned queen of all important events &#8211; for example, if you find yourself at a typical Split wedding, there is every chance that the meal sequence will involve this specialty of beef, veal or big game, with a portion of gnocchi sprinkled with sheep&#8217;s cheese!<br><br>Sounds great, doesn&#8217;t it? Creamy risotto is most often eaten in Dalmatian homes as a delicious appetizer, and culinary connoisseurs know this meal is nutritious and delicious enough to be the main star of an attractive Mediterranean lunch!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/croatia.hr\/sites\/default\/files\/styles\/image_full_width\/public\/2018-11\/gastro-crni-rizoto--maja-danica-pecanic-1600.jpg?itok=ryd1ZXzG\" alt=\"Image result for crni ri\u00c5\u00beot croatia hr\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We especially like the variation of cuttlefish, which besides its excellent taste, also captures attention with its unusual black colour obtained by the addition of cuttlefish ink!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. Island Poga\u010da (bread pie) is a true example of an indigenous dish that has formed the basis of island nutrition throughout history. Look for Vis, Hvar (forska), or Komi\u017ea poga\u010da and feel like a real islander.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/hotspots.net.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/IMG_7467.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Komi\u017ea poga\u010da is made up of a combination of sweet-sour tomatoes and salty pieces of fish, Vis poga\u010da is made from a delicious dough topped with shredded anchovies or sardines, and the Hvar (forska) poga\u010da will disarm any real foodie &#8211; namely, in addition to these ingredients, goat\u2019s or sheep\u2019s cheese is also hiding within it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.visitsinj.com\/Content\/images\/gastronomija\/arambasici.jpg\" alt=\"Image result for aramba\u00c5\u00a1 sinj\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>5. Sinj aramba\u0161i\u0107i will always be served, in addition to delicious ingredients, with authentic local hospitality! These smaller scrolls of sauerkraut or fresh cabbage stuffed with a mixture of beef and pork, cooked for two days in a pot lined with pieces of dried meat or bacon, and they go great with a glass of bold homemade red wine!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.visittrilj.com\/media\/k2\/items\/cache\/4695cb3b19cbf906e45dac0da0913068_XL.jpg\" alt=\"Vina triljskog kraja\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>6.
