Picky gastronomads will be delighted by the jewels of island gastro tradition \u2013 Hvar&#8217;s <em>gregada<\/em>, Hum&#8217;s <em>panada,<\/em> Grablje&#8217;s <em>pa\u0161ticada<\/em>, Brusje&#8217;s <em>brujet<\/em> or old island&#8217;s dish <em>pe\u0107ica na te\u0107icu<\/em> \u2013 a dessert made of young goat cheese with honey or sugar!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/hotspots.net.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Gregada.jpg\" alt=\"Image result for GREGADA HOTSPOTS\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We especially liked small family restaurants and taverns in Zavala, Pitve and Sv. Nedjelja, where you can \u201cspoil\u201d your palates with octopus burgers, pasta with prawns and shrimps, fish &#8221;a la dry&#8221; \u2013 cooked for hours without any liquid with onions, garlic, olive oil and spices; or mutton on a juniper spit \u2013 which absorbs the aroma of juniper rosin!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/villashvar.com\/datastore\/imagestore\/991x556\/991x556_147065447899499fbbaf25e01c02dd97a742cbb47d.jpg?v=1537845849\" alt=\"Image result for HVAR PAPRENJACI HOTSPOTS\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>DO NOT FORGET <em>PAPRENJACI<\/em>. Hvar&#8217;s gastro delicacies can be a great (and very tasty!) souvenir. For example, Starigrad&#8217;s <em>paprenjaci<\/em> are aromatic cakes made of honey, saffron, coves, cinnamon and nuts, and scented prosecco and golden-yellowish Hvar&#8217;s olive oil. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.njuskalo.hr\/image-bigger\/maslinovo-ulje\/extra-djevicansko-maslinovo-ulje-otok-hvar-slika-33656071.jpg\" alt=\"Image result for HVAR MASLINOVO ULJE\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A rhapsody of tastes of this kind consolidates the very essence of Hvar, and they are mentioned even in Fishing and Fishermen&#8217;s Talk by renaissance author Petar Hektorovi\u0107!
