Preparations are ongoing since the beginning of the year to celebrate this historic event that will manifest itself through a series of cultural and music events. The multi-day celebration will take place from the 10thuntil the 15th\u00a0of May at various locations in Hvar.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/hotspots.net.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Hvar-_1-777x437.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<h4><strong>150 years!<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>May 15th is the date that the town marks a century and a half of tourist tradition. Undoubtedly the beauty and rich cultural heritage of island Hvar have influenced the beginning of organized tourism since 1868, when the first organized group of tourists arrived in Hvar. After the opening of the exhibition &#8220;150 Years of Hvar Tourism&#8221; in the Arsenal, there will be a commemorative session at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.suncanihvar.com\/riva-hvar-yacht-harbour-hotel.html\">Hotel Riva<\/a>\u00a0for the Tourist Board Hvar and their Hvar150 guests. The celebrations will continue in the evening, followed by a concert by Gibonni at the Hvar main square.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/hotspots.net.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Hvarsko-kazali%C5%A1te_preview-777x437.jpeg\" \/><\/p>\n<h4><strong>6-day event\u2026<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The following days are not only important for Hvar\u2019s tourist tradition, but also for the country\u2019s. The focus is on is on the natural and historical heritage that played a crucial role for the development of organized tourism since 1868, when the Hygienic Society was founded. This was what encouraged further development of the tourism branch, turning Hvar into a world-famous tourist destination that it is today.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/top-event.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Toni-Rico-2.jpg\" alt=\"Related image\" \/><\/p>\n<h4><strong>Super Cover Band, Fashion show, Dance of the Sails, \u010cetiri Tenora\u2026<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Enjoy the evenings filled with compelling live performances by Super Cover Band and \u010cetiri Tenora to match the equally fantastic days in Hvar. Otvorit \u0107e se izlo\u017eba 150 godina hvarskog turizma u obnovljenoj galeriji u Arsenalu nakon \u010dega \u0107e uslijediti sve\u010dana sjednica Skup\u0161tine Turisti\u010dke zajednice grada Hvara.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/hotspots.net.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/10582889_720845537951322_7623141784928661655_o.jpg\" alt=\"10582889_720845537951322_7623141784928661655_o\" \/><\/p>\n<p>May 11th marks the feast of St. Pro\u0161per who was a patron saint of the town.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rab.hr\/images\/foto\/giboni_140913_36.jpg\" alt=\"Image result for gibonni koncert\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Throughout the day there are various events that take place, while the entire main square is filled with different stands where locals sell their own produce.
