All those interested in history, archaeology or those who are simply of curious nature and want to know how it all looked like in ancient and Roman times, when soldiers of Roman legions, but ordinary travellers as well, passed through this area where we are today, should visit remains of Roman roads in Split-Dalmatia County.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dalmatia.hr\/media\/k2\/items\/cache\/52d9e013c5a6dc2af3c8e96805994d3c_L.jpg\" alt=\"Rimske ceste\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To save all this from oblivion, in 2012 Jo\u0161ka Stella, director of Tourist Board of Split-Dalmatia County and Lino Ursi\u0107, county\u2019s external associate, especially on projects of archaeological tourism, started a project named Roman roads of Central Dalmatia. The project has spread outside the borders of the County and set out to Zagreb, where the exhibition will be held on April 6 in Archaeological Museum. This way our capital\u2019s residents and tourists will have the opportunity to get familiar with this significant part of Dalmatian, but Croatian history as well.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/hotspots.net.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_6676_1.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_6676_1\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>A trip back in time starts in Salona, which is together with Diocletian\u2019s palace one of \u00a0ancient jewels of this area. Preserved remains of Roman roads are located throughout Split hinterland, like military road Salona\u2013 Klis-Andetrium \u2013 today\u2019s Gornji Mu\u0107 and road of new conquests and borders <\/strong>Salona \u2013 Klis, Dugopolje \u2013 Dicmo \u2013 Aequum (\u010citluk) and Servitium \u2013 a place where First Pannonian Fleet had its quarters, presumably on the Sava River.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/hotspots.net.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_6673_1.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_6673_1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A trip back in time starts in Salona, which is together with Diocletian\u2019s palace one of \u00a0ancient jewels of this area.
