Mobile application will be presented, together with web portal and a catalogue of cultural heritage of the Cetina Region
I Sinj in October results of promotional activities of the project “Sinj u sridu”will be presented. It is an integrated programme financed by the EU whose goal is reconstruction, renovation and revitalization of cultural heritage of Sinj town. RERA S.D., a public institution for coordination and development of Split-Dalmatia County, as a project partner has been in charge of the implementation of promotional activities, and the result is mobile application and web portal of the Cetina Region, as well as a promotional catalogue of cultural heritage in Croatian, English, Italian and German language. Listed activities were made according to Strategy of Branding of the Cetina Region.
Mobile application “The Cetina Region” and web portal www.cetinska-krajina.hr have been developed to please the needs of visitors who are motivated by a search for new experiences, gastronomy and enjoying in natural beauties. Application is available for Android and iOS devices; one of its specificities is that with the help of navigation, visitors can create visiting tours according to their own preferences. 19 cycling roads on Sinj, Trilj and Vrilka area are integrated into the application.
The presentation will attend: Sinj mayor, Mrs. Kristina Križanac, Mr. Jozo Sarač, director of JU RERA, Mr. Feđa Milivojević, representative of Urbanex d.o.o. company (developer of Brading Strategy), Mrs. Martina Horvat from Kocka d.o.o. (in charge of creation of mobile application and web portal) and other representatives of tourism sector from Split-Dalmatia County.
The aim of the project “Sinj u Sridu” is to encourage stronger valorisation of natural and historical heritage of this region, and enhance general employment and life standard of our fellow citizens. We wish to make Sinj alive not only in August (in time of Alka and the Festivity of Our Lad of Sinj), but for the rest of the year as well. This is why this project of renewal includes Stari grad fort, Kamičak fort, Palacine building and streets in city core and Museum of Sinj Alka”, said the mayor, Mrs. Kristina Križanac.
JU RERA director, mr. Jozo Sarač emphasized: “The final goal of implementational activities defined by the Strategy of Branding the Cetina region is increased number of visitors in this area”. On the occasion he delivered the document Strategy of branding the Cetina Region to representatives of municipalities and towns, i.e. representatives of tourist boards as the bearers of tourism development in the Cetina Region.
Strategy of branding encompasses areas of Sinj, Trilj and Vrlika town and municipalities Dicmo, Hrvace and Otok. Tourist potential of the area is shown in the Strategy, which also defines visual identity of the Cetina Region, the brand, the communication strategy and action plan for its implementation. Future tourism development of the Cetina Region should be based on development of active and adventure tourism and untouched natural beauties; and it is to be presented with slogan “Untamed Dalmatia”.
The Project “Sinj u sridu”, as well as promotional materials and their implementation was co-financed by the European Union from the EU Fund for regional development and operational programme Competitiveness and cohesion 2014-2020. Total value of the project is 66.594.231,17 kn, of which non-refundable EU funds are 55.597.793,26 kn.
